Sitrick and Company, Inc. vs. Michael J. Rigas, et. al. (Adelphia) – Los Angeles Superior Court.
Mr. Fisher is well qualified to serve as an expert witness based on his four decade career in public relations, marketing, advertising and communications.
Litigation Experience
Mr. Fisher’s firm was the first public relations firm in the country to represent and serve as public relations counsel to law firms for the planning and implementation of public relations, marketing and communications programs after the U.S. Supreme Court’s Bates v. Arizona decision was rendered in 1978. That decision enabled law firms to market themselves. In the past 29 years, it has represented over 100 law firms, from small local firms to large national firms and firms located from Los Angeles to New York.
The vast number of these firms offered litigation services. As part of its legal services, it provided litigation support to the firm and its clients through communications during all phases of the litigation process - civil and criminal - from the filing of charges/lawsuit through the trial and for appeals if they occurred. In such instances, the firm was part of the “litigation team” as it was responsible for devising the strategy and initiating communications to impact the “Court of Public Opinion.”
Over the years Mr. Fisher has been involved in hundreds of cases and trials, including many that were high profile, including:
- Iranian Hostages U.S. Supreme Court Case
- Paducah, KY High School Shootings
- United Plane Crash in Iowa Class Action Lawsuit
- Rodney King Beating Trial
- Firestone Tires Defect Class Action Lawsuit
- Maxicare Bankruptcy
- BKK/BFI Landfill Fraud Lawsuit
Due of our effectiveness in launching programs against defendants (for plaintiffs), the firm has received numerous “gag” orders as well as court orders for our files and been threatened with many lawsuits.
Media Expert Information Source
Because of this vast experience, Mr. Fisher has been utilized by the mass media nationally as an expert media information source on news, issues and matters relating to litigation communications, image development and repair, controversial people/businesses and those facing a crisis (articles and video tape examples available upon request). One prime example, during and between the O.J. Simpson criminal and civil trials, he was regularly interviewed by media both in this country and around the world.
